Phase 1 Construction
The pumphouse restoration began after the Pump House was added to the Colorado State Registry of Historic Properties in 2007. Work to restore the decaying historic building as a museum began with funding from a History of Colorado State Historical Fund grant.
Removal of the metal water storage
Phase I began with the removal of two large metal water storage tanks and the cement supports on which they sat. The tanks were moved of a local farm, while the cement pillars sit outside the building,
Leveling the wall
Starting to level the floor by removing old concrete floor and walls.
Covered the Well for Security
Protected only with a layer of boards, the well needed to be secured before the leveling of the floor.
Redesign the door
Overhead door was replaced with a new double door, making the entry more inviting.
